Romantic Winter Elopement

organic whimsical wedding flowers elopement

When one of your favorite photographer friends asks you to make a bouquet for an elopement, you jump on it!  And that's exactly what I did when Kelsey from the duo, Kelsey & Nate asked me to make a bouquet for a secret elopement.

There wasn't a lot to choose from locally in the dead of winter, but that didn't hold me back!  Yes, even in the winter you can have beautiful, bold flowers that add texture, color, and interest to your wedding photos!

So here's the question, if you were to elope, do you think splurging on a bouquet like this is a good idea?

Let us know what you think!

Special thanks to Kelsey & Nate for the amazing photos, as always!

Cara & Sam

Cara & Sam

Today we're sharing a sweet ceremony from June full of light and airy flowers and lots of romance and whimsy.  It just seems like a dream...  Luckily, there are some gorgeous photos by the talented Sam Stroud to prove that it actually happened.  West Manor Estate, in the heart of Central Virginia, was the perfect backdrop for all of this fairy-taleness.

Cara had a beautiful vision of what she wanted her flowers to look like and we included Peonies, Astilbe, Stock, Ranunculus, Wild Olive, Hybrid Delphenium, Waxflower, Dusty Miller, Garden Roses, Larkspur, Hydrangea, Lisianthus, and Curly Willow branches to name just a few.

I think this pup is absolutely adorable and everyone should include one in their wedding if it's half as cute as he is, amiright?  And this groom boutonniere...  it's a perfect mate for the groom's deep blue suit.  Enough about what I love about this wedding. You can see it all for yourself!
