Cream & Dusty Blue Summer Real Wedding

Happy hump day, y'all!  We had the downright honor to work with sweet Summer and her groom, Louis, and create some seriously beautiful arrangements for their wedding day which happened to be on Father's Day! Cue the band! The icy color palette with loads of flowers that had texture made the bouquets pop against the cool bridesmaid's dresses and set the stage for a cool Summer evening.  We loved every bit and piece of it!

Bohemian Bridal Bouquet Photo Shoot

I was extremely lucky this Spring to join in on a dreamy photo shoot right here in Central Virginia with the talented Jessica Mae Photography.  Jess blows my mind with shooting in all film and she's really incredible at what she does.  This photo shoot was featured on Magnolia Rouge for its earthy and natural inspiration for brides-to-be - which we love at Petal!

We used all local, seasonal flowers to create this bouquet like peonies, spirea, anemones and foraged the wild olive.  The goal was to keep this bouquet light and airy with a woodsy touch (enter spirea) and keep it simple by using all white flowers.  We love it and we hope you do too!

Cara & Sam

Cara & Sam

Today we're sharing a sweet ceremony from June full of light and airy flowers and lots of romance and whimsy.  It just seems like a dream...  Luckily, there are some gorgeous photos by the talented Sam Stroud to prove that it actually happened.  West Manor Estate, in the heart of Central Virginia, was the perfect backdrop for all of this fairy-taleness.

Cara had a beautiful vision of what she wanted her flowers to look like and we included Peonies, Astilbe, Stock, Ranunculus, Wild Olive, Hybrid Delphenium, Waxflower, Dusty Miller, Garden Roses, Larkspur, Hydrangea, Lisianthus, and Curly Willow branches to name just a few.

I think this pup is absolutely adorable and everyone should include one in their wedding if it's half as cute as he is, amiright?  And this groom boutonniere...  it's a perfect mate for the groom's deep blue suit.  Enough about what I love about this wedding. You can see it all for yourself!
