Most of our brides spend an average of $2500-$4500 on wedding flowers and we have a $1,000 minimum.

We can also focus on greenery for brides who love the bohemian style and provide a full wedding of flowers for $1500 if you are inspired by this design (like the bouquet seen in this picture).

I hope this helps when planning for wedding flowers and sticking to your wedding budget!  The bride in the example above will have plenty of room to include the flowers she wants in her wedding and her flowers will be spectacular within the above budget (like our Fall 2017 Wedding Flower Inspiration).  Just remember, this is only an example, but use it as a guide to plan for your wedding flowers.

Fig & Gold Fall Wedding Inspiration

Romantic Wedding Flowers in Central Virginia

Hey y'all! It's been a busy year at Petal!  One of our own got married at the end of May and Santara did not disappoint when it was finally her turn!  It was the sweetest wedding and you could tell there was so much love and support in the room.

She used a rich color palette from a fig including creams, nude, blush, mauve, rich burgundy's and eggplants, with a touch of gold.  I love this versatile color palette because it can be used any time of the year. She used it in the Spring as an unusual twist, but could also be used in the Fall with more focus on the darker and richer colors.

Making Santara and Dwight's flowers was extra special to me but she gave me lots to room to play!  Like the paired down bridesmaid's bouquets consisting of no flowers... you heard me. NO flowers!?! I recovered and I thought there were so unique and really made her bouquet even more of a focal point.  From the simplistically elegant green vines climbing up the drapery that we put on the wooden arch to the vignettes of fruit in wooden compote dishes on each table filled with blackberries, grapes, plums, and blueberries, their wedding was filled with texture, contrast, and lots of beautiful real-life wedding inspiration!

Enjoy these ridiculously lovely photos by the very talented Zack Arp  at one of my favorite venues around, located in Lexington, Virginia, Big Spring Farm.

Santara's bouquet was filled with clematis, sahara roses, peonies, lavender, scabiosa, ranunculus, foxglove, hellebore, eucalyptus, and other lovely flowers.

We always leave a note to the bride thanking her for letting us be a part of her special day, listing all the flowers that are in her bouquet, and we often leave behind a vintage hankie to wipe the stems dry.

Bohemian Bridal Bouquet Photo Shoot

I was extremely lucky this Spring to join in on a dreamy photo shoot right here in Central Virginia with the talented Jessica Mae Photography.  Jess blows my mind with shooting in all film and she's really incredible at what she does.  This photo shoot was featured on Magnolia Rouge for its earthy and natural inspiration for brides-to-be - which we love at Petal!

We used all local, seasonal flowers to create this bouquet like peonies, spirea, anemones and foraged the wild olive.  The goal was to keep this bouquet light and airy with a woodsy touch (enter spirea) and keep it simple by using all white flowers.  We love it and we hope you do too!
